Review: this jacket is adorable. proper denim material. not too thick or thin. the paint parts add to it in my opinion. my pictures make it look grey but it is definitely black. I got 9y for my 7yo and it's still wearable for him right now so definitely compare your child's measurements with the items as i think sizing up at least 1 size (if not 2) is necessary
