When mains power is available, the unit provides a stable output for connected loads and for charging the batteries. This output is common, so the maximum current, including the load current and connected equipment, cannot exceed the specified limits. In the event of a power failure, the output is maintained by using battery power. These power supplies are suitable for applications such as access control and any application that must continue operating even after a power outage.</p> <p>They are protected against overloads, output short circuits, output overvoltage, low battery, and reverse battery polarity (via a fuse).</p> <p>The SCP series incorporates Faston connectors for direct battery connection.
